Study 1: AON
One of the world’s leading insurance companies with its’ UK headquarters located in the prestigious Cutler’s Estate’s Devonshire Square in the City of London.
During
an extensive redevelopment in 2002-2003 AON contacted Arc to advise, design
& install solutions across many of their departments. Through close
consultation an approach was agreed that would ‘standardise’
the AV facilities thus offering solutions that were common across different
departments.
The requirements at AON ranged from quality mid ranged Plasma and Front Projection based meeting rooms providing facilities such as Network and Laptop PC, DVD, VCR and Television over IP, Videoconference suites to a Boardroom solution providing Audio & Video conferencing, multiple Laptop input points, Networked PC, DVD, VCR, Visualiser, Video and Audio conferencing and Voice Reinforcement all delivered through a Rear-Projection Media Wall with both Program Sound and Ceiling Reinforcement Audio.
The
Boardroom solution also benefited from an AMX control system controlling
not only the Audio Visual solution but also the environmental aspects of
the room such as lighting.
In addition to the traditional meeting rooms, videoconference suites and boardroom AON also required a solution which would allow their staff to keep abreast with current affairs, present informal presentations in open office areas and also for the department directors to broadcast mission statements to their staff without the requirement for external conferencing.
To
accomplish this Arc employed solutions from Sony, Cabletime and Intellix
to deliver an Audio and Video over Cat 5/6 solution to plasma displays in
the main office and breakout areas.
