& Audio over IP is the next stage in AV. As Audio Visual integrates
further with IT the distinction between the two is disappearing. Now we
can utilise the IT facilities and infrastructure found in offices worldwide
to provide extremely powerful, cost effective solutions for the transportation
of images and sound whilst offering the additional benefits of remote control
from the desktop. For example, a company regularly holds meetings where
a MD delivers a presentation. Instead of the company hiring their usual
hotel conferencing suite the MD opts for a Display system utilising their
in-house network. This offers him the ability to deliver his presentation
over their existing display infrastructure, including to his employees desktop
on to their workstation, without the inherent conferencing costs and loss
of productivity for his staff. He can even hold Q&A sessions via the
two way video / audio.
